Seriously, the first half was so boring. The messy screenplay didn't help either, it kept trying to cram like 2–3 different storylines into one main plot. And what was Rutheye even doing here??? We wanted more Kara/Supergirl! Tbh, what really saved this movie for me was Milly and Jason. Their casting was absolutely perfect and comic-accurate for me (even though I know some people disagree, but looks are subjective, aren't they?). The action scenes definitely got better towards the end and kinda reminded me of David Corenswet's "Superman". But James Gunn set the bar so high with "Superman" that this one ended up feeling just...okay overall.
