Set in a photography studio between the living world and the afterlife, it follows three distinct individuals who are given the chance to revisit and retake a photograph of a single cherished memory before passing on. The premise is brilliant and deeply nostalgic. Visitors to the studio are given a stack of photos; one for each day of their lives and must select one per year to place in a spinning lantern that will flash before their eyes as they transition to the next world. If they have a regret or an imperfect memory, the enigmatic photographer, Mr. Hirasaka, transports them back in time to relive that specific moment and capture the perfect picture.
