the sharp contrast between: • the christmas songs playing on the lab’s speakers that made people feel the christmas spirit for the first time this year and; • the patients and/or their significant others in the waiting area clutching their lab requests and results with faces full of worry and distress one of the reasons that it’s difficult to be a healthcare worker is seeing people in so much pain every day (on top of knowing that these people could have had, at the very least, their financial burdens from hospital bills lifted off their shoulders if the ones in power worked to actually serve the people they were meant to serve instead of just serving themselves)
