It is clear that the author deliberately used animals specifically pigs as a satirical and revealing mirror for the behavior of power hungry humans whose greed is laid bare once they reach the top causing them to forget what they had initially sought or professed The very fact that humans have long associated pigs both historically and to this day with greed and gluttony says everything this book wanted to say
