first thing first, i LOVE the way this movie was shot. they used a first-person POV, jadi rasanya bener-bener kayak lagi nonton vlog. because of that, there's basically no dramatic sound effects at all. everything sounds raw and natural, which somehow makes the jumpscares feel more unexpected (?) kalau ditanya serem atau nggak... honestly, not that scary imo. emang ngga banyak jumpscare juga, BUTTT that pocong scene??? okay i'll admit... i got scared WKWKWK. my biggest issue is probably the plot. jujur alurnya agak confusing, ada beberapa plot hole, and the ending was kinda frustrating, they all ended up dying because of ONE person??? i wasn't a fan of that. BUTTTT considering this is an old Indonesian horror movie, i totally get why people back then thought it was terrifying. apalagi dulu belum ada social media yang masif kayak sekarang. found footage movies were still something new, so i can imagine why so many people genuinely believed this was real. and honestly? that's pretty cool. overall, i enjoyed the experience. the storytelling wasn't my favorite, but the found footage concept was way ahead of its time for an Indonesian horror film.
