i dont like tyler lockwood. i hated him in season 1, he was such a jerk. i love how they made him so violent and an asshole to all his friends and girlfriends in the first season, building the image of him as a quick tempered arrogant man, and then disregarding all that into turning him into a werewolf /sarcasm. wayyy to justify a character like that. they explained his actions as just being a werewolf in transition. only time i liked him was in season 2, when he actually became a werewolf. he got calmer, nicer and kinder, actually knows when to stop and control his emotions unlike before. all because of Caroline. caroline helped him become who he is. then he becomes a jerk all over again once the Originals came, once Klaus came. they turned him into a hybrid, and suddenly he became a boring obedient yet selfish guy. idk hes just so boring as a hybrid, it feels dull, his hatred for klaus feels empty and it doesnt have a lot of depth. then he suddenly loses interest in Caroline? like, all that girl has ever been to tyler is perfect, kind, and considerate. shes the prettiest girl in the cast (imo), shes been there with him through and through, then as soon as he becomes a hybrid, he begins to lose interest in her. like??? imagine having all that and still losing interest, i could never treat Caroline like that. thats why i like caroline with klaus. klaus was always there for caroline, and he was very interested in her and her life. imagine the moodiest, sorta evil, hybrid vampire is the kindest to a girl? klaus saw it all in her, and tyler just pushed her aside to pursue his revenge. choosing revenge over love?? idek what hes doing with his pack cause its still a mystery, but tbh im not that interested. but seriously. season 5 tyler, the nerve of that guy to ghost caroline, use the EXCUSE that "Klaus forbid them from seeing each other", even AFTER KLAUS ALREADY LET THEM GO. like dudeee, him and care were only good during Tyler's transformation phase. after that, boom gone! Caroline wouldve been better with Klaus, i stand by it. idc if caroline isnt end game with him, SHE SHOULD HAVE BEEN!!! klaus already gave tyler and caroline FREEDOM. but tyler chooses to use that freedom to come up with a revenge plan against klaus, instead of running home into the arms of the girl he loves. AND THEN, He only comes back to her when he has a task to do AT MYSTIC FALLS. he only comes back FOR HIMSELF, NOT FOR CAROLINE. the nerve of that guy to walk out on caroline despite their relationship being on the line. she didnt deserve that. and then, he gets angry at caroline for sleeping with THE RIGHT MAN BY THE WAY?? KLAUS!! SHE SLEPT WITH KLAUS AND SHES BETTER WITH KLAUS!! AND TYLER GETS ANGRY HAHAHA SUCKS ON YOU JERK!!! i really dont like him, redemption arc or whatever. Klaus is better. sorry, a little biased there. but how can a villain treat the girl he loves better, than a man that claims himself a good man with heroic intentions? a supposedly "evil man" can treat a woman he loves better, than the guy who is on the good side.
