i love this book. marianne's character as someone who lives in the regency era is so refreshing. and of course, the cliche of that era rooted from miscommunication—do people back then even consider to speak their mind directly? assuming what still happened on today's british society, perhaps some not. philip wyndham's frustration is so real, but i assume at the end of the day it all worked out, right? p.s.: i actually want to read the sequel of this. i really love marianne-philip dynamic 🥺
