look back hit me pretty hard as an artist myself …. ｡ﾟ(ﾟ´ω`ﾟ)ﾟ｡ i adore how it handles art, motivation & friendship. i especially love how they wrote fujino. she’s incredibly raw, flawed & real. the artstyle & animation is breathtakingly beautiful, the way they draw & animate faces / certain body language really pulls the feelings out for me. every shot of this movie could be in a museum [ yes even that one frame of fujino making that derpy face i live for it ]. also the AU is so fucking evil btw .. yuri so doomed they had to make a “canon” AU where it isn’t like wtf !! maybe off topic but on my first read of the manga i really didn’t think kyomoto would actually die ?? her death came as such a shock to me cuz like .. how do u have the heart to kill of ur character like that 😭😭😭 ??!??!! i thought it was just gunna scare us with that possibility & then bless us with a reunion arc where they kiss & live happily ever after 🥹🥹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹✌️evil people on this planet man …
