maybe putting this off wasn't a good idea. stunich is one of my absolute favourite rh authors ever, but I haven't read a book of hers in two years bc she has the track record of never finishing the series she starts. so naturally I decided to put this series off until its complete. it took years but its done and I'm reading it, and it's not what I expected it to be. Scarlett our fmc is a badass that feels the need to remind you that she runs the school every 3 pages. like we get it, girl 😭 the boys, while being unique in the way most of stunich's characters are, I just couldn't connect with them. I couldn't bring myself to care about the plot twists in the end, or what was happening between them and scarlett individually. my conclusion to this is that I think I've outgrown stunich's writing which made it really hard for me to be involved in the story or the characters even though I was so excited to get back into this world because the havoc boys series made most of my high-school years. i won't be giving up on the series just yet tho. I'll give the next 2 books a try and see where to go from there.
