I absolutely adored this series, and finished it all within 24 hours (I just NEEDED to know more everytime an episode ended). I have a copy of the book that I bought on sale (I was lucky to have bought it, a double feature of Jane Eyre and Wuthering Heights for only 12 dollars). However, I never actually read it, citing lack of free time as an obstacle (but uh, in reality we all know that I have a lot of free time... I am on summer break with no job or internship... lol). But after watching this series I feel that I absolutely have to read it. There is no way that this show covered that long book and I just need, need, need to read it! (>u<) Despite a part of myself hating Rochester at some point for hiding the fact that he had a wife, I still found myself tearing up at the end when Jane comes back to him and marries him. And the very last scene where Jane is posing for the family portrait just ruined me in the best way possible!
