just finished The Housemaid by Freida McFadden and omg… this was SO much fun to read!! aku suka banget gimana alurnya berjalan cepat tapi tetap smooth. emang sat-set banget, tapi surprisingly nggak terasa rushed dan aku juga nggak nemu plot hole yang bikin ganggu. literally 400+ pages bisa aku tamatin cuma dalam 2 hari bcs it was THAT addictive. once i started reading, rasanya susah banget buat berhenti t__t and the plot twist at the end??? HELLO??? 😭 aku bener-bener nggak nyangka. selama ini aku mikir sifat andy itu memang somehow nurun dari ayahnya, ternyata… WHAT A PLOT TWIST OMG. the way everything suddenly clicked at the end was so satisfying. oh, and the Indonesian translation by Gramedia is actually really comfortable to read! bahasanya nggak terasa kaku atau awkward sama sekali. cuma ada satu hal yang agak nggak sreg buat aku, setiap “thank you” diterjemahkan jadi “trims” umm.. idk why but it just sounds a little weird to me in the context. but overall, the translation is really good and easy to follow. and now i’m #MINAT banget buat lanjut baca seri The Housemaid ini!! setauku ada 3 buku, right?? really wanna read them all. plus, I NEED TO WATCH THE MOVIE TOO!! btw, i actually knew The Housemaid from the movie, but since i’m more of a reader than a watcher, i decided to buy the book first before watching the movie 😋 and honestly… i’m so glad i did because THIS WAS SO GOOD DANGGG
