i first read it as a school assignment so i only overanalyzed it without "reading" it. but after i read it again this year, it's very polarizing, it's highly adventurous and not without consequences, as someone with similar age as the shepherd, his feelings are all valid and relatable. reading it feels like i'm coming of age once more. and yes, i will remember melchizedek, the king of salem.
