oh my.. what an incredible movie! it's so chilling--almost haunting. easily one of the best crime/thriller/mystery movie of all time & now one of my faves! i love how they depict the "relationship" between Clarice & Dr. Lecter, the way it develops is so fascinating to watch. from the fear and uneasiness of their first encounter to the gradual, almost reluctant trust that forms between them. there’s something so intriguing about how Clarice, despite knowing just how dangerous Lecter is begins to rely on him afterwards. their interactions are one of the most captivating parts of the film. the cinematography? absolutely STUNNING! even from the opening scene, we knew what we signed up for so we immidiately thought that it's one of the victim but turns out it's just Clarice on her training... so... clever.. goshh. and that scene wherr the FBI was arriving at Bufallo Bill's house then the perspective shifted to reveal that it's actually Clarice arriving to the REAL HOUSE.. oh my god. i audibly gasped! everything is just.. brilliant!! what a beautiful unsettling movie.
