its my first time switching schools. my whole entire life, i was only in one school. during elementary, i dont remember much but i just stayed silent and did my own thing. i was never fond of having friends. i liked being alone and just doing my own thing. after the pandemic, i noticed quite a shift with my personality and i developed a somewhat loud but not extroverted personality. i regain my energy in solitude and being alone but i liked talking to people. it tired me out but i never found talking to people to be a burden or deemed it to be odious and unpleasant. i had a few troubles here and there with what i feel comfortable with and it was only pretty recent when i gained the ability recognize how to distinguish or differentiate what i like and what not. one of my biggest concerns i have here in my new school is that i have a hard time discerning social cues and i tend to be really expressive. i noticed that in my old school, since its a tiny community, and im familiar with the people there, i always felt like the odd one out but in a way where i felt like a diamond in the rough where i knew i stood out amongst many because of my acheivments but here in my new school i feel like i stand out because im too weird, to loud,,, too obnoxious. i guess its because im still new to everything. my old school has given me the realization that i tend to differ from the majority, given the experience of being made fun of the way i acted and how when i try to join different groups, its no surprise to many that my humor, and overall demeanor is set apart from what theyre used to and if i try to put a label on how i feel or how i think im perceived, id call myself weird and annoying. i hope things do work out for me here and i need to keep reminding myself that im here to learn, to make friends, and that opinions change and whats factual will reveal itself one way or another. its my way of telling myself that someones opinion does not define me. i just need to stay respectful, kind, have pure intentions, and be a good person overall.
