I totally understand why this film is blowing up in Indo. The way it’s handled and presented is very 'dar der dor' in the most fum way possible lol: nonstop adrenaline, nonchalant constant chaos, and jumpscares thrown at you every few minutes. It’s the kind of horror movie that’s super easy to enjoy with a packed crowd because it knows exactly how to keep the audience reacting. But outside of the fun factor, I still have a lot of issues with it. The story, characterization, cinematography, and especially some of the raw CGI didn’t fully work for me. The whole backstory behind the "Salmokji: Whispering Water" reservoir sounds interesting, but the film barely explores it beyond a few mentions here and there, which made the lore feel underdeveloped. Compared to something like "Exhuma", this one feels way more straightforward and less layered (durasinya aja 1.5 jam hellooo). Still, I’d say this is the perfect Korean popcorn horror movie: pure entertainment, nothing more, nothing less. If you wanna watch it, honestly catch it while it’s still in theaters because the big-screen experience is what carries the movie the most. Watching it at home probably won’t hit the same. As a 'horror fun ride,' I think the movie succeeds. I had fun with it…just not the kind of fun that stays in your head for days after wkwkwwk.

okay so... i watched the movie and read ur review and valid. it definitely feels like a popcorn horror compared to Exhuma since they dont spoonfeed the lore, but honestly as a Javanese my self, that unexplainable inherited fear kinda worked for me!! like the rules are there (especially the water and stones ritual), the movie just expects you to accept the curse without asking why, just like our local myths 🤔 but fr the big screen experience was a total rollercoaster ride 😬👍
