Yi Yi is a tender and sublime movie that portrays life in all its richness. What a masterpiece!  I loved this slice of life look at a messy, beautiful, realistic family, and this movie gives you so much time with them. The child actors were amazing. So revealing of the wonder and beauty in everyday life and the value of every moment. I think the discipline and effectiveness of so many continuous shots of people simply... existing were incredible.
