when i watched the film, i really connected with both lead actors, they captured every emotion exactly as i needed to feel it. i could really feel the pain that agnes was going through, especially in that moment where she’s shown as this witch in the wild. the scene where she gave birth in the jungle was so vivid and strange, but it stuck with me. i appreciated how strong she was throughout, even when the will was absent. at first, i didn’t like how they showed him leaving, but i understood he was grieving in his own way. what i liked was how, through his play, he showed her (and me) how deeply he also felt the loss. that was beautiful that his art made her understand his grief, too. honestly, it took me a while to get the film’s layers, but once i had some context, it hit me hard.
