even as an adult it’s difficult to put a name to and work through emotions associated with anticipatory grief so what more a child. she’s pulling on different threads and seeing where they lead her, but i kind of wish some threads were explored more than others. one in particular made me feel downright ill and i’m so relieved it didn’t end up the way it was leading.
