just rewatched this movie and yeah… this movie is still stressful as hell 🥲 ngl Noomi Rapace absolutely carried this entire film on her BACK. playing one character convincingly is already hard enough, but SEVEN??? and somehow every sibling feels different. different energy, different gestures, different personalities. you can immediately tell who's who without needing the movie to spell it out for you. insane performance honestly. the premise is still one of my favorite dystopian concepts ever too. seven sisters sharing one identity and having to synchronize memories every night so nobody gets caught? lol that whole setup is so tense and clever. and once things start falling apart, the movie turns brutal FAST. gunfights, chase scenes, survival mode everywhere. very typical dystopian movie in the best way possible. but yeah... the movie definitely has some logic issues. sometimes the future technology feels super advanced, but then the government security gets bypassed way too easily for such a strict authoritarian regime. thats weird. the pacing also gets a bit messy in the second half. the beginning builds mystery really well, but near the end, the emotional dynamics between the sisters kinda get pushed aside for action and lil plot twists. still tho, this movie is ridiculously entertaining. the mystery of 'what happened to monday?' alone is enough to keep you glued to the screen for 2 hours straight. also. fuck you monday.
