i love love love the atmosphere of if we were villains . the dark academia, the murder mystery, the theater kids who speak like they’re constantly performing even offstage. though looking back on it now, i think i wasn’t as deeply immersed in it as i thought i was, mostly because so much of the book revolves around Hamlet and other shakespearean references that completely flew over my head [read: 2022]
