best novel of the year, and probably becomes one of my fav books. It’s such a beautiful story I can’t even!! Heard of the movie before reading it and I alr knew it is a sad story beforehand. However, I shed tears in the middle of the book just because how pure and youthful Hazel and Augustus are. They way they can’t help but still fell in love with each other, afraid of hurting themselves. And the plot twist, I always thought Hazel was the one gonna die. I bawedl my eyes out reading the last 20 pages. Especially the scene when gustus had a breakdown in his car trying to buy a pack of cigarettes (do one thing by himself), it’s just heartbreaking. I bought this years ago and never rly spend the time reading it. It’s been a while since I read books. It is not a very long story so I finished it faster than I thought.
