i had this really cute interaction with an incoming first year from my uni habang pauwi ako kanina. she asked me kung saan yung sakayan because it was her first time commuting on her own daw, and since madadaanan ko rin naman, i offered to walk with her there. we ended up having a small conversation about the program she chose and other little things, and i don’t know, it was just really nice ── made me reflect how lost and scared i used to feel too (at that time), especially when i had to start figuring things out on my own. and now, somehow, i’ve gotten more comfortable exploring places by myself and doing things i used to be terrified of. it felt strangely comforting seeing a younger version of myself in someone else for a moment. anyway, i really hope college life treats her kindly !!
