I’d wanted to watch this so badly when it came out but just ended up watching Project: Hail Mary thrice instead. That being said, I really wanted to like this. I was so excited to like this. I think it failed to properly comment on everything it wanted to, and yes sometimes it just takes 1 friend’s overreaction to ruin everything and we’re all very lucky Rachel had the barest decency to not actually ruin the wedding. Though I did like shifting what I assume was the major expectation for her to actually announce something to the whole room from her to Charlie, it really adds to his collapse and holds him accountable. Charlie’s slow breakdown is another thing; it really emphasized how truly ALONE Emma was and is in both eras of her life her secret was affecting. From getting the full picture in the first 3rd of the movie to only getting fragments of it later as we start to see less of adult Emma and much more of Charlie remembering pieces of her memories FOR her and even altering them to save face. Just no justification for his crashout. But I did enjoy Robert Pattinson being put through the wringer. something something hypocrisy is the real villain. and the racism but i don’t think people even realize that. something I love you Emma and #FUCKRACHEL
