It is a good movie and had me cried tons. but I just finished the book couple days ago, and gosh there is just no comparison to the book. This is a good movie still, but the book’s just too perfect and beautiful. Some details missing from the book are August’s argument with his parent before France, champagne on the plane, hotel elevator scene when August was worried about his leg, Hazel’s eulogy for August is written after August’s call, and August’s letter for Hazel was mailed by Van Houten’s assistant instead of handed by himeself.
