just watched it with gf yesterday, enjoyed the cute funny animal stuff and the whiteboard easter eggs of design concepts for Walle, the cleaning bot, puppy translator collar for Doug, Monster INC's voice to energy battery etc~ BUUUUTTTT, we rly rly rly fking hated the Mabel character. she ruined the whole movie. totally unlikable, no redeeming personality traits, selfish, impulsive, entitled, dumb AF, and self-righteous. 🤦‍♂️ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JVdp8oA5TdE (yt explaining how many yrs Mabel'd have to go to prison for her crimes IRL) here's a list (not complete) of the crimes she commited in the movie: -repeated attempts to steal animals from school -bit her school teacher -ran recklessly into extremely dangerous active dynamite detonation construction site (could've set it off) -trespassed and broke into the school's research facility -stole highly experimental and super expensive prototype that took the professors decades to develope -inadvertly started a massive forest fire that destroyed god knows how many animal's homes (or killed, oh and also destruction of a major section of the freeway, that's basically eco-terrorism) and in the animal world: -1st thing she did was to break 'pond rules' and disrupt the existing ecosystem balance. (not unlike how she liked to wreck havoc in the human world using her own tunnel vision moral compass) -inadvertly triggered and incited the animal council into harming a human (the mayor) -MURDERED THE FKING QUEEN. 😱 she's the embodiment of failing upwards with no accountibility. what a role model for Pixar kids ehhh? uuughhhh 🤮
