Russell Crowe must've missed the glory days of his legendary Gladiator hall of fame success so he teamed up with Ridley Scott again to try and recapture the magic, this time in England, heh. very solid action, performances and storytelling. almost every major / support casting in this movie has phenomenal screen presence and charisma. i especially enjoyed Cate Blanchett and Mark Strong, they brought oh so much gravitas and star power to the table. Gladiator was somber, tragic and glorious. Robin Hood's much lighter and even a bit whimsical by comparison. the battles and music were still grand and epic no worries, it'll get yo blood pumping. it's no Gladiator (nothing ever will be) but it's purdy damn close. huzzah, and enjoy the ride!
