Honestly, the romance was pretty good! The main leads had great chemistry, and their characters were written well — not over the top, just the right amount of tension and emotion. The Four Wei Generals? Absolutely loved them. Each one had their own charm and presence that made the story feel more alive, well their brothership was the cutest especially the scene where they lay together and see moon Qiao Ci was fine too, not amazing but still okay. But Qiao Fan… oh my god 😩 I really can’t stand him. She got way too many unnecessary scenes, and most of them didn’t even add anything to the story, and she always act as the weakest that annoy me the most. The overall conflict was actually solid, but the execution could’ve been so much better. Since the story kept revolving around the same villain and repetitive plotlines, the ending ended up feeling weak and kinda boring. I honestly expected more. Still, it’s worth watching if you enjoy historical fantasy romance with interesting characters — just don’t expect a super satisfying ending 😅
