I should probably start this off by saying this will be a VERY long rant so if you’re willing to stay I apologize in advance. (*⁰▿⁰*) It’s officially the end of one of the craziest weeks I’ve had all year. Did this week feel really long yet short for anyone else? I know it definitely did for me. I went to school Monday and Tuesday before my break for thanksgiving (I hope anyone who celebrated had a good thanksgiving). On Wednesday my uncle and my younger cousin came and stayed for a few days because my mom offered to host them. At first I didn’t really think anything crazy; typical things would be brought and a couple dishes for thanksgiving. Right? NO. Might I also preface this by saying that they were originally supposed to only stay for like three days but ended up staying about five so I’m aware that they were likely to bring more things for a longer stay. But what I wasn’t expecting was my entire fridge and the pantry to be taken up by other peoples food. My uncle brought three coolers and more grocery bags than I could count. Not to mention he also brought his own appliances even though we have what he needed in bigger sizes too. Very unnecessary if you ask me. He also moved so much of our things around too without asking (which caused problems later on). He even went through our garage to find fire wood without asking and used it all and it’s safe to say my mom wasn’t very pleased and I made it very clear that we shouldn’t host them again hahahaha. On Thanksgiving we also hosted so it was already going to be crazy and we don’t have the biggest house but we typically host so it isn’t a big issue because it’s something that we’ve been doing for a while. Every one was able to bring their share of food so it was less work for us (my mom and I). Granted we did have to take some other tasks on because one of my cousins is currently in a wheelchair and needs to be taken care of. So my mom and I started to prep everything for when we eat and my aunt was helping as well. We did have littles around so their dad and my younger cousins played with them. But guess who wasn’t doing anything? My uncle! Total shocker. Wanna know what he was doing instead for those hours we spent cooking? Smoking. He spent no time trying to help at all and he also invited my other uncle who is my moms brother. They don’t get along well at all and have a lot of issues. But when he came, he also decided to bring his wife and her family and it was absolutely ridiculous. Now it would be fine if we knew these people and liked them but we don’t. It also doesn’t help because my family is made up of a bunch of wacko MAGA supporters who are full of shit for brains. We do live in the south so unfortunately it’s not surprising to come across people like that. So I decided to take a walk with my younger cousins because they wanted to get out and away from all the people so I played babysitter for a bit. We went on a decent walk like it was a bit of a long walk. I was hoping these people would be gone by then but no. They stayed for HOURS. My mom also isn’t the confrontational type so she went with it but she definitely wasn’t having it. I also got sick that night so that was added to the crazy pile of ridiculousness of the week :( The day after was okay. We went to a hibachi restaurant to celebrate my cousins 15th birthday but I didn’t have anything because I felt so terrible. Later that night we all went to see Christmas lights and fireworks at my local stadium. I find it kinda funny that places hold Christmas events like this the day after thanksgiving. When we went to that there was also a little Christmas market event happening right down the street hahaha. Most of my family wasn’t dressed in the appropriate attire because we went right after the birthday celebration so we all basically froze to death. I couldn’t feel my feet the entire night and I was put in charge of pushing my cousin around. I’ve never realized how many places aren’t accessible for people with wheelchairs until that night. It’s quite upsetting to see. Thankfully that night my uncle and cousin moved to my aunts house for their last two nights so we didn’t have to worry about them anymore (I will say that I don’t have an issue with my cousin but I have an issue with her dad). For the remainder of the week my mom and I have been cleaning up, getting Christmas decorations out, and trying to get me un-sick. Hopefully next week things with start to go smoothly and I can prep for my first semester final exams. (( _ _ ))..zzzZZ
