Capitalism doing whatever it takes to extract every ounce of time, energy and labor from people, over-exploiting workers, but still needing the next workforce to be born and raised. It would make sense in a fucked up future to just strong arm employees into automating the family/child-rearing process so that you can pick up more hours and maintain the front of a work-life "balance". Scary stuff.
