WOWWW, I was sick today and I’m so glad I choose this movie!! It is a heartfelt and emotional but also funny and deeply meaningful. One of the funniest and most memorable moments is when Opal finds Winn-Dixie and decides to keep him, which ends up changing her life in the best way. Opal prays for a friend, and God gives her not only a dog, but so much more than she expected. Throughout the movie, Opal forms touching friendships with people others tend to judge. When she asks Miss Franny if they can be friends, it is such a sweet moment that truly melts your heart. Another powerful scene is when Opal finally has someone who listens to her, which is Gloria Dump. It is sad to see how the kids called Gloria a witch when she is actually kind and wise, and it shows how sometimes we judge others but we don’t actually know them. One of the biggest lessons in the movie is that you cannot judge a book by its cover. The film teaches that just because someone has made mistakes doesn’t mean they are a bad person. Even the brothers Opal judges at first are revealed to have experienced a terrible tragedy, reminding viewers that everyone has a story. The ending of the movie is so beautiful and emotional. I cried a little throughout because it is sad and sweet at the same time. Overall, Because of Winn-Dixie is a moving story about friendship, forgiveness, and love, and it leaves you with a warm heart and an important message. 🥹
There ain't no way you can hold onto something that wants to go, you understand? You can only love what you got

You can't always judge people by the things they done. You got to judge them by what they are doing now.
