first of all, the writer of this fanfic is the GOAT. the story is too good wtf. I feel like they perfectly embodied Rachel’s writing and made the story even better. also the finale surrounding 2026 Olympics is so on point, I genuinely had the urge to look up “Shane and Ilya Milan Olympics” 😭. This was such a good read. They clearly portrayed Ilya’s cockiness, empathy, tenderness and softness. and Shane’s anxiety, late realizations , internal homophobia 😭. I cried when I read the part about citizenship ceremony 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭. Also DAVID and ILYA’s dad-son interactions are so precious. that’s exactly how I pictured them when I read the books.Yuna??? she’s the best mom😭. She really said my 2 sons are olympians, beat that. Hayden ???? please he’s really the best friend someone could ask for. and the addition of Jessica and Lindsay’ s characters ??? I loved it. our sweet gurl Svetlana😭😭😭😭.
