Glad this was my first ever K-drama. I don't know how to word my thoughts out in understandable and coherent way, but one thing that I could say is that it was definitely worth watching. Finished this in 2 days. No matter how many times they fight and part, the universe leads their way back to eachother. A couple written in the stars, a match made in heaven. Although Hiro-Mu hee didn't end up as a canon couple, I enjoyed the pair tooㅡtheir chemistry through the journey was wonderful. Initially, Hiro appeared to be arrogant and narcissistic (I mean, he knows he's HOT 🥵), however when he realised that he has feeling towards Mu hee... Oh gosh I can't. He turned into a sweet and lovely gentleman. Hihi. This is what love does to humans. The wise words by mr. Kim really hit me hard in the gut. As a trilingual who's currently learning a new language and used to have a not-so-nice paternal/family relationship, I 10000% agree to this. Language is not only about the communication systems used in different regions and areas with their own writing system, but also about how distinct every single person on this planet express their thoughts and perceive information, feelings and arguments. Speaking the same language doesn't automatically mean that they can have mutual understanding. This concept made Ho jin-Mu hee couple make even more sense to me. The only thing thoㅡI saw a review on Letterboxd that I resonate to so muchㅡfor a drama that's about language and interpretation, the subtitles were kinda ass... I watched it in English and Japanese subtitles, but oh man... At some VERY IMPORTANT scenes, the nuances didn't align with the original language. But this doesn't take away that much points from me, still a solid 4.8/10 🌟💗
The number of languages in the world is equal to the number of people in the world. Everyone speaks their own language. That's why there are misunderstandings. If you want to enter their life, you have to learn their language, the punctuation, the structure.
