Absolute nightmare fuel, yet written beautifully. Loved this short story and wish I read it sooner. It has taken my number one spot for my favorite short story over The Lottery. UGH I have an urge to paint some of the imagery described but I need a massive canvas first. I simultaneously feel inspired to keep writing my book but also depressed that I’ll never get to THIS level of craft Σ(-᷅_-᷄๑)
