this is genuinely one of my favourite albums ever. it's so calming and introspective and honest. sufjan stevens' lyrics are so so specific that I feel like I can visualize everything that is happening (especially in Casimir Pulaski day which is not on this album but is insane nonetheless). he is one of my favourite artists ever and I'm shaking in my boots for when he releases another album!! every song is brilliant I can't pick a favourite because each song is perfect for a specific feeling. the album in itself is SO cohesive, every song goes perfectly after the other, whether in order or shuffled ( I don't have spotify premium so it's generally shuffled :( ) also the backstory of the album is DEVASTATING. all in all, I love sufjan stevens, I hope I see him live one day, and this album is brilliant!!
