a lot of people missed the whole point of this movie… this movie was about HER! trying to find your identity is already hard enough, so having to do that during that time period I can’t even imagine. the son being killed by his own father is actually very symbolic (imo) because it showed how destructive nazi ideology was; it mattered more than humanity.
