The animation is suuuper cool, easily the highlight of this sequel to "The Super Mario Bros. Movie" that dropped around two years ago. Story-wise tho, it feels a bit of a step back. With the short runtime it has, the movie tries to cram in too many characters and storylines, so the overall plot ends up kinda messy and felt a bit rushed. The first one felt way more neat and easy to follow. This sequel honestly feels like it leans more into fan-service of the Mario franchise, but it's still a fun magical ride and worth watching anw.
