Pure insanity disguised as a revenge film that somehow makes complete sense. It follows a man who has no idea why or by whom he was imprisoned and tortured for 15 years, and once he’s released, he becomes obsessed with finding the truth and getting revenge. This is a korean film everyone needs to watch. Disclaimer: this is NOT for the weak. Insanely graphic, hard 21++, proceed at your own risk. Watching this felt like the most deranged, surreal fever dream imaginable. The acting are straight-up god tier world class performances, especially from Ahjussi Dae-su. Pcw absolutely cooked. Honestly, i prefer this way more than his recent works. His best film for me, even though it came out in 2003.
