The thoughtful use of two dominant color tones, especially the emphasis on blue, reinforces the film’s consistent idea and visual statement. This is further elevated by Juliette Binoche’s outstanding performance, which deeply stirs the viewer’s emotions. Everything portrayed in the film feels natural for someone coping with the tragic loss of their family. Although the runtime is not particularly long (under two hours, only 98 minutes), I found myself feeling slightly bored at times, as the pacing can seem slow and somewhat stagnant.
