After waiting for more than 9 years, the sequel to "Zootopia" is finally here. I lowkey regret not catching it in theaters when it first came out. But at the same time, it turned out to be the perfect movie for ngabuburit during Ramadhan lmao. This time, Judy and Nick are officially full-time officers at the ZPD (Zootopia Police Department). Their partnership is tested when a reptile named Gary shows up, inspired by a rare blue pit viper from Indonesia, and they end up uncovering a twisted conspiracy tied to Zootopia’s past. Surprisingly, even though the plot goes deeper and darker, it’s still super easy to follow. I didn’t expect the world of Zootopia to be this complex (and that’s saying something, considering the first movie). There’s still so much potential to explore: new animal species, more world-building, and bigger stories in the future. I bet this is gonna be Disney’s next golden child after "Toy Story" huh? Not gonna be mad tho. The real highlight is Judy and Nick’s partnership here. They’re finally aware of how different they are, but instead of pulling them apart, it actually makes their bond stronger. There are plenty of romantic hints here and there, but thankfully Disney doesn’t overdo it. They know their audience, and they keep it balanced. Overall, such a FUN sequel with clever references and a bunch of great quotes too: 'permission to hug?' being one of my favorites. Now I’m just here waiting for the third one.
