This was really fun and light, perfect for unwinding after a long-exhausting day. It follows Plaifun, an 'old-gen' diva whose career is starting to fade, as she tries to reignite her spark by going head-to-head with her rivals, TAKHLI: a modern Gen Z music group fueled by social media hype. I wasn’t familiar with any of the artists, but for some reason we were in the mood for a Thai film, and the poster looked fun tbh. It is a bit of a slow burn, and I’ll be honest, I nodded off during some of the early scenes (the songs are mostly pretty cliché & sleep-inducing not gonna lie). But it get better towards the end. The ending is genuinely hilarious, especially that one final scene in the toilet wkwkwk. Thai humor is always so extra, and I don’t know why it hits me every time. Maybe it’s the ASEAN connection??? 😆🇹🇭
