Damn, I’d probably have an anxiety attack too if my so-called friends were acting weird, dancing with cardboard, and covered in skin diseases like that (aka 'The Plague'. Btw I also happened to have a breakout in the exact same spot as Ben while watching this lmao. That just made me even more paranoid). But honestly? Those boys are straight-up bullies, they're completely clueless about what life is about to throw at them!!! Anyway, this film made me deeply uncomfortable, and I mean that in a mostly effective way. Even though it’s about junior high kids at a water polo camp, the sound design and the way the school is portrayed are genuinely chilling. Paired with a great cinema atmosphere, it really gets under your skin. That said, this movie had so much potential. I just don’t know why the climax feels so weak. Maybe it’s because the runtime is short, so the conflict builds and builds only for the resolution to feel rushed, half-hearted, and kind of forced. Or maybe the director just wanted to wrapped it up like that. Either way, I wasn’t fully satisfied hehe. It’s like going in with sky-high expectations before the orgasm… and then when it finally happens, you’re like, “oh, that’s it?” (freaky analogy i know, please forgive me😭)
