ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ ㅤ✎ . . . ❛ 𝒊 𝒎𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒃𝒆 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒐𝒖𝒑. . ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒍𝒊𝒌𝒆 𝒊𝒕 𝒘𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒅 𝒎𝒂𝒕𝒕𝒆𝒓. ❟ ㅤ٠࣪⭑ i am so upset that i am only discovering this now in 2026. what an odd, beautiful, and existential experience this was. zero dialogue but infinite meaning. one of my favorite things about ova's such as this are the ways that nonsensical whimsy are used to deliver melancholic messages. the backgrounds on this are stunning too, i included some of my favorites in the pictures. ㅤㅤㅤi discovered recently that one of the big reasons for weird ova's like this existing is that because they were created during the era of vhs a lot of them were made specifically /for/ vhs, meaning they pretty much had to be purchased sight unseen. no need to craft something clipable or something that can hit high tv viewership so typically the directors got 100% creative freedom. i am going to mourn this type of media for the rest of forever i want more original works that fully cater to the creator's vision and not ratings.
