The vignettes that are put forth as poetry are much better than the stories of Nick. I really did like the Mr. and Mrs. Eliot story though! Hemingway has a way of portraying queer stories in a way that is so digestible to the heterosexual community that they don’t suspect Hemingway to be queer at all, or even Homosexual adjacent; which is quite weird to me because I know of his relationship with Fitzgerald but oh well ; good enough read in one long stretch for a story about war, alienation and life.
