scary, unsettling, straight up horor. thats the vibe i got the whole time watching this. like it doesn't bold back at all. the practical effect... kinda nasty in a too real way. the bloox, the peeled skin stuf... yeah i was NOT okay. what makes it hit harder it how it ties into javanese mysticism and wayang elements, so it feels a bit too close to home. and then all about cheating + 'child thats not even his' situation... WOW.... thats just adds another layer of horror, not even in a ghost way, but in a messed up way. goota give it to Jokan tho. man really knows how to mess with your head when it comes to horror.
