literature that is full of unsettling events. definitely a heavy read, it shows how young adolescence deal with their own problems (e.g. bullying) without a parent to take initiative to help and understand them. i kind of relate to the characters, which made it hard for me to finish this. regardless, it's a good novel but not recommendable for everyone.
