not the best introduction to the unreliable narrator trope, but i loved it nonetheless. a gift from my older brother that i still cherish and adore

one of my first social commentary books and one of my first chapter books as a kid and i absolutely love it. the prequel is sooo good too but i havent finished it yet. genuinely the book that made me realize the importance of being political.

"we accept the love we think we deserve" altered the trajectory of my life.
