I honestly didn't expect Babel to hurt the way it did. It is not just a story about magic and language. It is about belonging, about being torn between worlds, about how love and loyalty can break you. I felt every moment in my chest. Robin's pain, his confusion, his anger, it all felt so real. There were times I had to stop reading just to breathe. The writing is beautiful, but it is the emotion underneath that wrecked me. It changed something in me. Rebecca is such an amazing author.
