So yeah, I came here to present one of my OCs because apparently I can’t shut up about fictional men once they take over my brain. This is Mikhail Andreevich Vasiliev. I originally created him back in 2017 for a roleplay, and at that time he was a late 19th-century circus performer. Not world-famous, but known enough to have people recognize his name in certain cities. He’s Russian, born in a city that today exists in Belarus, and he had a whole dramatic backstory that I’m not going to fully unpack right now because that lore folder is deep and slightly embarrassing. When I started playing Red Dead Redemption 2, I actually jumped into Online first. And somehow, without planning it, I basically recreated Mikhail but as a cowboy. That’s when the idea clicked. What if circus Mikhail somehow ended up in the Wild West? What if I just… fused the timelines and made it work? For the record, I don’t even have Online anymore because I stopped paying for PS Plus, so this entire alternate cowboy life exists purely in Rockstar Servers. (?) So here’s the simplified origin story. He was an acrobat traveling with his circus troupe, performing across different countries, until they eventually made their way to Saint Denis. Big city, big opportunities, lots of noise and lights. And then something went wrong. Maybe the circus went bankrupt. Maybe they left him behind on purpose. Maybe they didn’t and he was just too drunk to realize they were packing up for good. I genuinely haven’t decided which version hurts more, so all of them are technically canon for now. What I do know is that he’s been in the country for about ten years. He had to learn English from scratch, which means his accent is thick and his grammar was probably horrible at first. He’s not exactly a natural with firearms, which makes sense because throwing yourself through the air on a trapeze does not automatically translate into perfect aim. But he makes it work. Personality-wise, I don’t have every detail mapped out yet, but I know he’s gentle. Softer than he looks. The kind of person who would help you fix a wagon wheel even if he barely knows how, just because you asked nicely. He drinks more than he should, laughs loudly when he’s comfortable, and probably still misses the feeling of flying above a crowd that’s holding its breath for him. I've commissioned several artists to draw him, and every single time it feels like Christmas morning. Seeing different interpretations of the same character is insane in the best way Right now he’s still half-formed, a little messy. I might delete this later and come back once I’ve properly developed him and give him a clean, organized character sheet like he deserves.
