read this book for my creative writing class. woodson’s poetry is so, so beautiful and each poem just feels like you’re witnessing life through a child’s eyes and imagination. her skill with poetry is incredible.
But I want the world where my daddy is and don’t know why anybody’s God would make me have to choose.
