when I'm really depressed I'll just watch up to the proposal scene and then rewatch it like 5 times in a row and then cut it off

rewatched for the 100th time while building Lego with my family for new year's 💜 pure magic and whimsy with actual stakes. this will always be one of my favorites.

this has been one of my all time favorite movies for years now. I got to see it in theaters for the first time tonight. so beautiful and sad. I think about this story often.

I've seen this like 5 times but never in theaters so I went last night. it was beautiful and sad and every time I walk away from this movie, I'm left thinking about so much. this time I really zeroed in on the way they don't let you forget for long the political things going on in Italy in the 80s especially with Craxi. luca Guadagnino knows how to adapt a book. he always makes them better and this is no exception.

this was my favorite movie as a child and it's still so funny to me. so many good bits. fozzie and Kermit being twins is classic

I'm already trying to figure out when I can go see this again. the del Toro Frankenstein is very good but THIS is what I wanted out of a Frankenstein adaptation. it is its own thing while being unapologetically a love letter to Shelley, classic literature overall, and the adaptations that came before it (including Young Frankenstein). this is a film about female rage and love without sacrificing who you are. it's about autonomy and revenge and how that need for retaliation doesn't always feel good. I am floored by the film and I cannot stop thinking about it. Christian Bale is great but Jesse Buckley steals the show. I am in awe of her. PLEASE GO SEE THIS!
